Mixylicious is a hidden gem located at 10355 152 Street in Surrey, offering a unique fusion of Filipino desserts and snacks. Their menu features mouthwatering treats like HaloHalo, a refreshing sorbet-based dessert packed with delicious ingredients, Bilobilo, a warm dessert with chewy rice balls in a sweetened coconut cream, and Banana Turon, a crispy snack made of ripe banana and jackfruit.
But what truly sets Mixylicious apart are their party platters and combos. The Dinuguan & Puto combo, a savory Filipino blood pudding stew served with plain puto, is a must-try for those craving bold flavors. And for a crowd-pleasing snack, the Banana Turon party platter is perfect for any celebration.
As a food reviewer, I was impressed by the creativity and quality of the dishes at Mixylicious. The combination of textures and flavors in each dish showed a deep understanding of Filipino cuisine and a commitment to delivering a memorable dining experience. If you're in the Surrey area and looking for a taste of authentic Filipino flavors, do not miss out on Mixylicious.
A warm dessert snack is a sumptuous combination of some halo-halo ingredients with chewy rice balls in a warm, thickened and sweetened coconut cream mixture.
If you’re looking for authentic Filipino food around Surrey, Mixylicious at Guildford Town Centre is the place to go! My family had the sweet-style spaghetti, flavorful sisig, and a refreshing glass of gulaman. The spaghetti brought nostalgic vibes with its cheesy, meaty sweetness, while the sisig was crispy, savory, and perfectly spiced. The gulaman tied it all together with its cool, sweet finish. Quick verdict: Tasty, affordable, and a true taste of home.
The food is literally always good here. Tastes like home when you want something fast! And the staff are always so happy and helpful. Better than some of the Filipino places I've had in Surrey.
Great customer service. Friendly workers. Prices were fair for the amount of food that you get. Very filling. Food was pretty good. I usually get Chinese food at the mark so this was a nice change of pace. I would definitely come back.
The serving time is fast, food is great! Serving size is also good! Quality sevice is also nice! This is my go to place during a rainy day to eat arozcaldo. The kwekwkek is great too, the sauce makes it even better!
Everyone was very friendly and the food was good. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic Filipino cuisine. They also have some of the most popular street foods and desserts!
So great that there's a shop serving Filipino food in the Guildford Mall! Sadly, Filipino food is not quite as mainstream as Japanese food or Chinese food, for instance. So, unfortunately, a lot of people who aren't familiar with Filipino food just walk right past. Although I'm sure there are curious folk who will stumble upon this place who have never tried Filipino cuisine before. Like any small Filipino business, I want to see them do well and I hope they last here. I see a lot of complaints about portion size which I agreed with for the most part when I first tried their empanadas. They were quite tiny. They were absolutely delicious though and I found myself wanting more. Their turon is also really good and I think is a bit more of a reasonable portion size for the price. This is the Lower Mainland, after all. The cost of living here is insane. Over the past few years, I've seen food prices skyrocket due to inflation. So, the prices at Mixylicious are wayyyy higher than what you'd see in the Philippines. I mean, to be fair, this is the case everywhere else...not just Mixylicious. If you make your money in Canada and spend it in the Philippines, everything is insanely cheap. But if you make your money in the Philippines, that's a different story. For example, in the Philippines, a medium-sized halo-halo supreme at Chowking is just 90 pesos. 1 CAD is equal to about 42 PHP right now. So, only 2.14. This is even considered a bit much for a halo-halo. You can get one for 65 PHP at Mang Inasal. 65 PHP is equal to 1.55 CAD. I just got back from a trip to the Philippines and was craving halo-halo (which is one of my favourite desserts), so I went to Mixylicious. I had already tried their halo-halo a couple months ago and was a bit disappointed with the portion size. I was quite relieved to see that this time around, they have listened and have actually made the portion much bigger! It's completely loaded with toppings like ube halaya, leche flan, macapuno, sago, and different kinds of jelly. I'm much happier now with the portion size for the price. For the uninitiated to Filipino culture and cuisine, they have a little diagram showing the contents of what's in a halo-halo. They're using the North American terms for all the toppings, which I find quite funny since I was just in the Philippines and I'm used to hearing the Filipino words for everything. I don't think many people here would know what sago, pandan, buko, langka, or ube are, though. So of course they have to use the following terms instead: screwpine (pandan), young coconut (buko), jackfruit (langka), purple yam (ube). I know this is all pretty obvious since we are in Canada and not everyone is Filipino, but I still found it funny nonetheless. I had no idea that there was another word for pandan. Screwpine. I've never heard that before, I had to look it up I haven't tried many of the other savoury options such as the palabok or kwek-kwek, but will get around to it eventually. I do hope that Mixylicious does well and that they stick around because I love having a place so close to me that serves all of these Filipino classics perfect for your merienda!
Great spot for Filipino food. Service was lovely and everything tasted on point.
I have been craving for a beef caldereta since last year... The trip to Mixylicious in Guildford satisfied my cravings... Top-notch and highly recommended.
